Mustang Cobra DSS Aluminum Driveshaft For T56When making serious horsepower with your 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra you will need the correct driveshaft to handle the power. This aluminum driveshaft from DSS is just what you need as it simply bolts on to your 2003-04 Cobra equipped with a T56 without any modifications needed! This aluminum driveshaft weighs in at only 14lbs!
High Quality Construction
This driveshaft is constructed from 3-1/2" aluminum with solid u-joints, a billet transmission yoke and a Sonnax forged aluminum 1350 series flange that is rated at 950HP! DSS balances this driveshaft using one of the most sophisticated balancing machines in the industry! The 3.5" diameter helps with clearance on lowered cars as the stock driveshaft is 4".

Disclaimer - Driveshaft Hardware
The 1979-2004 Mustang factory driveshaft bolts are installed using a thread locker chemical and are NOT torque to yield. If reusing the factory bolts, clean the old thread locker material from the threads, and apply new blue thread locker before reinstalling the bolts or use new driveshaft bolts and apply blue thread locker to threads and torque to the factory specifications. New bolts can be found here: HDW-4602.
For 2005-2021 Ford Mustangs, it is recommended that you install new driveshaft to pinion flange bolts when removing the driveshaft. The driveshaft to pinion flange bolts are torque to yield and should be torqued to 41ft-lbs
