Innovator's West harmonic balancer is precision-machined in the USA and installs directly in place of the factory unit. The Innovator's West balancer and LFP's light-weight crank pulley ring assembly weigh only 12.6 lbs, compared to 16.2 lbs for the heavier factory steel unit. Installing this kit removes significant rotating mass from the front of the engine.
Innovators West harmonic balancers are a great investment for your street or race vehicle. These dampers feature lightweight billet aluminum covers equipped with free-floating wet friction clutch pack assemblies that utilize spring-loaded inertia rings to dampen crankshaft harmonics over a wide rpm range. The rings work in conjunction with clutches to provide outstanding dampening action. That action does generate some heat, and Innovators West uses a small amount of fluid inside that acts as a lubricant, as well as dissipates heat to the outer body. LFP's CNC-machined crank pulley rings bolt directly to new balancer using provided fasteners. Once new balancer assembly is installed, changing the outer ring to adjust the boost level is simply a matter of six allen-head fasteners.
On a chassis dyno, the LFP 9.55" crank pulley ring and our 50mm Idler pulley produced 547 rear wheel horsepower (at the tires). Max boost level was 13.5lbs

Supercharger Belt Lengths:
+2 lbs 8.60" Crank pulley ring and stock idler pulley: 67.5" belt
+3 lbs 9.10: Crank pulley ring and 50mm idler pulley: 68.0" belt
+4.5 lbs 9.55" Crank pulley ring and 50mm idler pulley: 69.0" belt
Note: The original belt in most applications is 66.0" in length.
