DESCRIPTION: LFP Underdrive Alternator Pulley 2003-04 Mustang SVT Cobra
The LFP Alternator Pulley is used with aftermarket Crank Pulley Kits to reduce alternator revolutions. As you increase the diameter of your Crank Pulley, your alternator pulley will have more revolutions. Over time, the increased revolutions may cause your alternator to over-spin. Prevent it before it starts by adding an oversized LFP Aluminum Alternator Pulley.

LFP underdrive alternator pulleys are CNC-machined from certified 6061-T6 billet aluminum then black anodized for long-lasting surface protection. The face of the pulley is a machined- billet finish (silver) to match our LFP billet idler pulleys. LFP pulleys are sized to maintain OEM alternator speed when used on 2003 and 2004 Mustang Cobras equipped with our Lightning Force Performance "Quick Change" Crank Pulley Kit.
An LFP underdrive alternator pulley is recommended when using our LFP +2 lb and larger crank pulley rings. We manufacture a specific underdrive pulley for each of the popular crank pulley ring sizes. As shown above.
LFP alternator pulleys install as a direct replacements for factory alternator pulley and require no modifications or special tools. A longer belt will be required. Please feel free to contact us for details if you need assistance properly sizing your pulley or belt.
LFP alternator pulleys do not fit the Mechman, Nations, Denso, or J2 alternator. LFP pulleys are intended for OEM 6G (and similar, ie 3G) alternator used in select Modular Ford applications. These are 8-rib pulleys.
